Equations POSH Toolkit, October 2020

Creating the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Toolkit for EQUATIONS was about more than just design. It was about making a complex and sensitive topic easier to understand. Legal jargon and procedural steps can feel overwhelming, so the goal was to use illustration as a tool for clarity and accessibility.

The artwork was designed as a flatpack, keeping it clean, streamlined, and adaptable. Every illustration was carefully thought out to guide the reader through key concepts whether it was recognizing violations, understanding the complaints process, or knowing legal rights. The challenge was to balance simplicity with depth, ensuring the visuals helped rather than distracted.

Using minimalist but expressive figures, the illustrations remained inclusive, approachable, and easy to follow. Warm colors and clear compositions made sure the toolkit felt welcoming rather than intimidating. The idea was to create a resource that didn’t just provide information but actively encouraged people to engage with it and feel empowered.

This project reinforced the power of design in breaking down barriers. The right visuals can make information more accessible, and in this case, help build a safer, more informed workplace.
