The Venus Flytrap Sneaker
The design intends to embody a force that is both inviting and untamed, an assertion of identity that refuses to be consumed. Inspired by the Venus flytrap, the sneaker pulses with movement, its tendrils stretching and curling around the shoe, poised between allure and defense. The plant itself is deceptive, drawing in, waiting, responding. A reminder that power often lies in patience, in the ability to choose when to close in and when to remain open.

This idea of controlled wildness ties into Hélène Cixous' The Laugh of the Medusa, which speaks of reclaiming the self and writing the body into spaces where it has been silenced. The sneaker design, much like the flytrap, is a living, breathing declaration, a refusal to be contained.
Part of Tinder’s "All of a Kind" collection, this one-of-a-kind FILA Disruptor II was displayed across India and auctioned to support Crea World, a human rights organization advocating for sexual freedom.
